Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles

Located just north of Sunset Boulevard in the exclusive Bel Air neighborhood, the newly renovated historic Bel-Air Hotel is the latest of the sumptuous, stylish hotels that hail Hollywood’s glamour and history. The 103-room hotel is hidden in the heart of Los Angeles, set in a canyon of tall palm trees with bright blue sky, surrounded by colonial-style Spanish buildings.

The hotel is just a few minutes drive from Beverly Hills and a bit further from Hollywood and the Santa Monica and Venice beaches, being in a strategic location to get to know the city, enjoy the area’s famous restaurants – and even go shopping on Rodeo Drive.

When entering the hotel, start by the heated oval pool. From there, walk in either direction in a labyrinth of gardens, fountains, flowers, discreet rooms and even a lake with swans. The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated in brown, white and beige tones, with marble floors and wooden ceilings. Our suite had a king-size bed and a terrace. All the commands are automated through an iPad, which has a direct connection to the reception and allows you to order meals, turndown service in the beds or even view the hotel’s restaurant menu. Another positive point was a last generation Bang & Olufsen’s TV. The bathrooms, in addition to having strategically positioned LED TVs, feature rainfall showers perfect for a relaxing bath.

On the amenities of the hotel, the highlight is the newly opened La Prairie Spa, where the menu includes various facials and body treatments. The gym is filled with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as an invigorating sauna adjacent

The hotel’s restaurant is signed by the star chef Wolfgang Puck and remains open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner where guests can enjoy the high standard cuisine in the indoor environment or on the outdoor patio.

The Bel-Air is a definitely inviting property that provides guests with a luxurious lodging experience in Los Angeles in a pleasant setting that is part of Hollywood’s history due to their usual VIP guests such as Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, and Nicole Kidman.
